Connecticut, CT, the Constitution State, and any other name this beautiful area of New England is known by is our home town. Connecticut is made up of Counties. Our CT based business is in Fairfield County which is located adjacent New York. The other counties of Connecticut include: Litchfield county, Middlesex County, Hartford County, New Haven County, Toland County, New London County, and Windham County. There counties of Connecticut contain many different towns. There is a total of 169 towns in Connecticut with its largest being the state's capitol, Hartford.
The state of Connecticut is known for its wonderful towns. There are many different towns located throughout the Constitution state, and our business is from Danbury, CT. New Haven, Stamford, West Hartford, Fairfield, Norwalk, Greenwich, and Bridgeport are among the largest towns in Connecticut.
Connecticut which is also known as CT is the most southern state in the land of the Patriots. The Patriots being New England's honorary football team. Connecticut is one of few peculiar states in the North East that don't have a national Football team or Basketball Team. Needless to say, New England just wouldn't be the same without Connecticut. CT is often associated with New York and New Jersey as they make up what is known as the "Tri-State Area." When our family is traveling across the world we often say we're from New York instead of Connecticut, because often people don't even know where CT is. However, people throughout the entire world always know where New York is.
Here in Connecticut we are bordered by Rhode Island to the east, and Mass (Boston area) to the North. We love Connecticut because of the people. The people here in CT are friendly, fast moving, and know what they want. The biggest city in Connecticut is Bridgeport, but it certainly isn't the nicest. Bridgeport has one of the highest crime rates in CT, and gives the ghettos of New Haven, New Britain, and Stamford a serious run for their money.
Connecticut is certainly a very expensive place to live. If you live in Fairfield County, which is one of the richest parts of CT than you'll have to make at least $100,000 to live even comfortably. The biggest part of living in Fairfield County is having status. To get status you'll need to drive a nice car, have a country club membership, and have a big business. We're firm believers that CT is one of the best places to start a business because of how dense the population is. Starting a business is much different in Middlesex County or Litchfield County as it is in Fairfield County. On google alone there are more searches done for Fairfield County than anywhere else in Connecticut.
Living in Connecticut you'll certainly hear a lot of slang terms used. I'm not referring to racial slurs or to stupid names like "basic white bitch". I was totally a "basic white bitch" for Halloween one time though! All you needed was a North Face Jacket, Starbucks, and a pair of UGG boots. People from a mile away were saying that I was a Fairfield County Girl or a Connecticuter. Connecticuter is a term used pretty often to refer to people that live in CT. However, seldom do people use the term Connecticutian, or Nutmegger. Both Nutmegger and Connecticutian have never been popular terms for people from CT. The only term that I routinely hear used is calling someone from the North East (Mass, CT, NY, Maine, New Hampshire) a "yankee".
Connecticut was named Connecticut because of the anglicized versions of the word "long tail river". "Long Tail River" is actually a Algonquian word. The CT area, like many of the areas in the North East was inhabited by Indian Tribes before Christopher Columbus came over and eradicated them. CT has a huge background, and when it was first started it was broken up into colonial settlements. The most historically important colonial settlements included New London, Stamford, Stratford, Guilford, Farmington, Windsor, Hartford, New Haven, Fairfield, and Wethersfield.
One thing is true. Once you're a Connecticuter... You're always a Connecticuter. People from this area have a very distinct way of looking at the world. We want to achieve more. We want to do more. Our family atmosphere is about doing great things. We relax after the work has been done. The CT SEO Pro's love our home in Connecticut!
