We all know how to get verified through Google and we're NOT doing to be discussing the tricks for phone verification. (No you can't pay me for the information either). Mastering the GMB is all about 2 things. The address and categories.
The Address.. your address or your client's address. Whatever it may be, you absolutely must get this correct.
Remember Google is all about simplifying things. So Road is Rd, Drive is Dr, Lane is Ln and Court is Ct.

2) Making Google+ Your Bitch
By the time you're reading this they'll have changed up the maze layout of actually getting to the "About" page of Google+. Provided you can actually get there months down the road you'll want to make sure that you're filling out the ABOUT page correctly.
To properly fill out your Google Plus page you'll want to properly find the categories that your business is related to. Take 15-20 Minutes and really dive into possible categories that you provide. My former personal training business (which is on autopilot due to how many leads I can generate through google) has categories that I wouldn't even think there was. Women's Personal Trainer? Weight Loss Service? Categories are like Pokemon... GRAB THEM ALL. Taking care of your pokemon (categories) in google PlusNow that you've got your categories... It's time to tend to them in Google+.
Your description on the "About" area in Google+ is very important. Don't FUCK this up. NEVER MENTION YOUR CATEGORIES OR GMB LOCATION (city/town you're verified in) I know right? Instead mention LSI keywords. My main category: Personal Trainer My LSI Keywords: personal training, fitness trainer, personal trainers, etc My main business location: New Fairfield Locations near by: Sherman, Brookfield, Danbury, Pawling, Brewster, Patterson, Bethel, New Milford and the Greater Danbury area. Links - 6 Max: Link out to what google loves: Youtube Link out to what you would naturally: Facebook, other social media platforms Link out to inner pages: Only ones that are relevant Make your links look natural by adding "here" at the end. |
